Deerwood Parents,

Reading is fundamental and begins before students enter school.  One of the media center's goals is to ensure and encourage critical thinking skills where understanding is gained in order to comprehend text.  Below you will find parent tips that offer ways for you to help your child be successful and even accelerate their reading.  A child's educational success is a partnership and we are excited to partner with you to ensure your scholar's success!
