Read Across America Week was a success! From amazing spirit days, to hall/door decorations, to live-streaming reading activities, all students and staff had a blast. Kindergarten students had the opportunity to live-stream an author talk with Debra Mines as she read her book, entitled Stinky Shoes. A number of volunteers took time out of their schedules to read to our scholars and to convey the importance of reading. Even a former student who is currently in high school returned to give back to students. He read a student favorite, Cat in the Hat, and even left Harlem Globetrotter tickets for students who have been excelling in the Accelerated Reader Program! The week ended with a Seuss Party in the media center for teachers! Teacher winners for the Seuss spirit competition are as follows:
Ms. Reese
Ms. P. Brown
Ms. A. Brown and Ms. P. Thorpe
3rd Grade Team
